Art and Jen Fairbrother

Senior Pastor and Worship Leader

Pastor Art, his wife Jen and their four boys, Jacob, Joshua, Andrew, and Anthonie moved to Belfast in June of 2019 to come home and pastor Faith Temple Church of God, the church Art and Jen grew up in. Pastor Art has been a credentialed minister in the Church of God, Cleveland, TN since 1996. He has previously served as youth and assistant pastor at Christian Ridge Church of God, in Ellsworth, ME (1995-1996) and Faith Temple Church of God, in Belfast, ME (1996-2001). He has served as Sr. Pastor at Unionville Church of God, in Steuben, ME (2001-2008), Manchester Church of God in Manchester, NH (2008-2013) and Royal Ridge Church of God in Scarborough, ME (2013-2019).

Art and Jen are lifelong New Englanders. He was born and raised in Prospect, ME. Sis. Jen is originally from Swanville, ME. They met as teenagers at Faith Temple Church of God. They were married in December of 1995. They have a passion for Northern New England and feel that God has called and equipped them to lead the Faith Temple congregation at this time.

Art holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Colby College (1995) and Jen has a B.S.N. from Husson College (1998). Jen presently is an employee of Maine Health Waldo Hospital in their IV Infusion Center in Belfast, ME.

The couple’s four boys are of primary importance in their lives. Jacob is married (Katie) and is pastoring in Millinocket, ME. Joshua is married (Javona) and works in Children’s Ministry here at Faith Temple. Andrew is presently employed by the Air National Guard and Anthonie is a student in RSU #71 and preparing for his future.

Jen has been the worship leader in every church this couple has served as Sr. Pastor in. She has a heart to bring people closer to God through praise and worship. She is anointed and is an integral part of all areas of ministry at Faith.

Art and Jen’s true passion and calling though is to pastor. They love God and they love people. This attitude has served them well in the pastorate. Pastor Art often says people will not believe that you care until they see that you care. Building relationships (with God first, and then with your brothers and sisters in Christ) is at the core of their ministry. Healthy relationships will lead to a healthy church. One way that we emphasize the importance of building a relationship with our heavenly father is through discipleship. We emphasize church relationships through times of organized and spontaneous fellowship. Art and Jen also feel evangelism is vital to building a healthy church. Once again, Pastor Art emphasizes relationship evangelism. Another key component to a healthy ministry is Missions (both local and global). A church that wants to have the favor of God on their ministry needs to be missions minded. There are many other things going on here at Faith Temple Church of God under the leadership of Pastor Art and Jen Fairbrother, we invite you to stop by for a visit and experience them yourself.

Art and Jen are trusting God for many years of fruitful harvest here in the Coastal Maine Area. The couple feels that God has brought them back home, not only to pastor a church but to impact and influence the community.

Josh and Javona Fairbrother

Youth Children's Director

Hi, we are Joshua and Javona Fairbrother. We are the children’s ministry leaders here at Faith Temple. We just got married in June 2026 and are excited to grow together in ministry. With both of us growing up in church we have always had a desire to serve. Our vision for the kids is to teach them the basics of the Bible and what being a Christian means. We strongly believe that the younger generation is not the church of the future but rather an important piece of the church today.

Operation Christmas Child Drop-Off Leaders

About eight years ago, we were asked if we would be interested in being drop-off leaders and if our church would be a drop-off location for Operation Christmas Child. We had collected boxes with our children for many years but that was the only thing we really knew about the ministry of Operation Christmas Child. We would fill our boxes with school supplies, hygiene items, toys, etc. and then we would find a drop-off location and we would bring our boxes to them. Our first year as drop-off leaders was a learning experience as we did not have any idea of how to organize something of this magnitude. From that first year until now, the amount of boxes being collected from our church and around the area has grown so much. We have met many individuals both in the surrounding community as well as those from local churches and we see many of them each year during National Collection Week. It is so rewarding to partner with Samaritan’s Purse through Operation Christmas Child and we are thankful to be part of such a great ministry that is serving the Lord in many ways around the world.
